The updated Elan still has a nod to our classic touring bikes, just more versatile. The frame will fit 700x42c or 650 x 55c wheels and tires. The new Shimano GRX Adventure Crankset w 46/30T rings & 11-34T cassette for an even greater range and fully loaded touring. The Elan frame and fork come with triple bottle mounts for King or Anything cages.

Both the Elan and Elan Vital represent the modernization of the classic touring bike. They both share the same Geometry and compact CrMo Steel frame and able to accommodate a myriad of tires sizes to dial in the needs of your next adventure. The Elan is fitted with a more classic 700 x 34c tire and rim combo for a comfortable rough road or light gravel ride. The compact frame inspires confidence with a lower center of gravity and excellent standover clearance.

The Elan is for the classic tourer, gravel or mixed terrain adventurer and even works perfectly as as a year round commuter. Although the Elan is a little more road orientated than the Elan Vital is it still equally at home when the pavement meets the dirt. Long adventure tours, circle routed or even just your nasty weather bike on the weekends. The Elan is fully equipped to handle it all.

The updated Elan still has a nod to our classic touring bikes, just more versatile. The Elan is spec’d with 700X34c tires but the frame will fit up to 700 x 42c, or 650 x 55c wheels and tires so you can add more or less gravel to your adventures. The Elan Frame will have triple bottle mounts on the down-tube

The Elan is your perfect partner for long distance touring. Multiple mounting points for a rack and full size panniers out back and the frame and fork will both have triple water bottle mounts for “Anything” cages letting you fully expand your cargo carrying capacity. The Elan can handle all your on and off road routes giving you great comfort yet still fast rolling to get you where you need to be on time.

Adventure 2X drivetrain

The Elan has a wide range of gearing that works just as well on the open highway as it does on the long gravel climbs even fully loaded with gear. The brand new Shimano GRX-600 with 46/30 tooth rings is paired with an 11/34T cassette for loaded touring and a better than a 1:1 gear ratio for those long sustained climbs. The Tiagra 10 speed shift levers, front and rear Tiagra derailleurs, give you precise light action shifting.

Carry anything you need with all day comfort. 

The Elan comes with matching Chromo Steel Fork with LoRider and fender mounts as well as triple anything cargo cage mounts on each side to expand your carrying ability. TRP Spire-C Dual Piston Disc Brakes set an industry standard for stopping ability in any condition while being simple to maintain and are adjustable from both sides to fine tune your clearance as needed.

Attention to detail

The Elan comes with reflective fenders for safety, plenty of mounting points for all your carry need and a comfortable saddle for long distances. The WTB Exposure 700 x 34c tire gives you plenty of all weather grip on multiple surfaces yet a fast road cruiser.
