The Romax Steel-G is Brodie’s Columbus THRON Tubing Gravel Adventure Road Bike, a do anything go anywhere one quiver bike. The Romax Steel now comes in two versions, the G and the R. G for Gravel, R for Road. Of course both versions excel at anything you can throw at them. The G comes equipped with 47c tires with room for fenders. This adds versatility, safety and comfort opening up the ability to explore the destinations less traveled.

Shimano GRX 1X Drivetrain adds simplicity and covers the full range of gearing. Road Riding, Gravel Adventure or Bike Packing, choose your own path wherever it takes you. The Romax is for performance seeking adventurers who love smooth fast road rides, long gravel rides or dirt track touring.

The Romax Steel-G has race bred geometry in an all-season, all-surfaces platform.  With the Gravel Adventure Shimano GRX group-set with hydraulic disc brakes, you can conquer a Pacific Northwest winter, or ride an Ontario Spring Classic. From pavement to pavé, don’t stop just because the road does.

Equipped with WTB Venture TCS Aramid bead tires, 650bx47c tires mounted onto Alex A-Class Boondocks-3 650b Tubeless Ready wheel-set . This bike is fast, the 47c tires give up nothing in terms of rolling resistance yet add incredible amounts of traction and improved puncture resistance. The extra volume lets you easily adjust air pressure for your riding styles. 

Shimano GRX 1X with Clutched Drivetrain

The Shimano GRX 1 X 11 drivetrain was designed with gravel specific ergonomics and optimized gearing options for all your off-road adventure riding with rugged reliability.

The Shimano GRX 40T crankset paired with an 11-42 tooth 11 speed cassette gives you a well spaced, full range of gearing for everything from fast gravel, road rides or to tackle any hill on any terrain. Shimano GRX shifters / brake levers are precise and powerful with new Gravel specific Ergonomics that have all day comfort on the hoods and offer light, precise control and stability. The GRX810 Long Cage clutched rear derailleur keeps your chain secure and quiet, reducing shifting effort and chain slap.

Columbus THRON Steel Frame, Full Carbon Fork

The Romax Steel-G has the sublime and super covetable Columbus THRON tubing, w/ ØD14mm Heat treated Seat Stays built for maximum strength and superb ride quality. The frame will accommodate 42-50c in a 650b wheel, or up to a 40c with 700c wheels. This Road PLUS bike is the perfect fit for performance seeking adventurers who love smooth, fast steel as much as they crave asphalt, gravel & dirt.

Capable geometry matched with a lighter Carbon Fork in a tapered head tube and a front Thru Axle, all for added stiffness, control and performance.
