The newly designed Romulus 2.0 2X GRX has the versatility and speed to do almost anything! Rack it, fender it, take it out for a group ride or do a quick trip to your favourite lakeside campsite.

The Romulus was built with modern geometry with an all new more compact frame for more accessibility. Splitting the difference between a "road bike" and a "cyclocross bike" makes the Roumulus 2.0 perfect for those adventure rides that involve multiple surfaces. A fully capable daily commuter that can handle any load to help tic off that errand list, getting ready for the weekend adventure on any terrain.

The Romulus 2.0 is perfect for the daily riders who want a bicycle capable of more than just "point-A to point- B". When the weekend lands they're packing their seatpacks and handlebar rolls to escape for a day or two of hammock-camping bliss

For the person - who wants a road bike that is way more versatile and stronger than any road bike, something that is definitely NOT light duty. New routes may include gravel routes, forrest roads, rough shoulders, unmaintained bike 'paths', exposed train or tram tracks, or a tour to the wilderness, where roads may not suit a typical road bike.

The Romulus 2.0 is Road PLUS. For the Mixed terrain adventure seeker, long-distance gravel rider, cross-country tourer, daily year-round commuter, gravel fondo riders. The Romulus is for Year round cyclists looking for a bike that will not hold them back. The Romulus works for; fitness, bike-packing, short or long touring, and even for all weather commuting.

At 27.5 x 2.1”, the WTB Nano tire has a moderately aggressive tread for more off road control with a centre strip for the pavement portion. The frame will also accommodate 700c wheels if you want to go to a more road focused set up. Geometry splits the difference between a road and ‘cross frame, perfect for those adventure rides that involve multiple surfaces.

New this year we have moved the Romulus 2.0 from 9 speed to 10 speed with Shimano Tiagra Shifters paired with a “Adventure Orientated” 46/30T GRX Crankset paired with a 10 Speed 11-36T Cassette. This adds a lot to the Range of gearing available to you that work great on and off road !

2.1” high volume tires let you tackle any terrain, inspire confidence no matter the road condition. And yet they are fast, the 27.5 x 2.1” tires give up nothing in terms of rolling resistance yet add incredible amounts of traction and improve puncture resistance. The extra volume adds generous customizability in using adjusted air pressures for your riding styles. 

The 4130 CroMo Steel frame and fork are built for maximum strength and ride quality. These Road PLUS bikes fits perfectly for performance seeking adventurers who love smooth, fast steel as much as they crave asphalt, gravel & dirt. We have also added a replaceable rear derailleur hanger.

We have added even more mounts to this new frame to help add to its versatility giving you more options to go even further with your adventures. Back Country Touring? Traditional Road Touring? Bikepacking ? Not a Problem ! Bring It !

Full Shimano Drivetrain

Shimano 2X10 Tiagra / GRX drivetrain provides security knowing your drivetrain will perform at its best for years to come. Using a Shimano drivetrain brings ease of maintenance and serviceability, plentiful and easy to get spare parts from any bike shop. The GRX Adventure gearing with a 46/30T crankset paired with a an 11-36 tooth cassette gives you a well rounded full range of gearing to tackle any adventure with a way better than 1:1 gear ratio for fantastic climbing ability.

Shimano front and rear derailleurs are controlled by Tiagra 10 speed shifters that are ergonomically designed for long distant comfort.

We have even spec’d the Romulus 2.0 with Shimano Hubs as again, easy to get parts and easy maintenance with super long term reliability !

The Romulus 2.0 with TRP Spyre Dual Piston Mechanical Disc Brakes for safe and powerful stopping power, wet or dry on the road or on the dirt. They offer plenty of adjustment and are easy to set up and maintain. Powerful brakes and the Excellent WTB Nano 27.5 x 2.1” tires give you maximum security and control for all surface and all conditions riding.
