The Quantum comes with Shimano wide range gearing with a 48/38/28 tooth crankset paired with a 11-34 tooth cassette in the rear for a complete range to tackle any hill or even tow a trailer. No matter how much you load the Quantum up you will have plenty of power to slow down with disc brakes on board.
