Health and Fitness: 24 Hours in a Day

Health and fitness isn’t something you should only do for 30-60 minutes a day – that’s training and exercise.  Making sure to get 7-8hrs of sleep a night (recovery) is just as important for maintaining good fitness levels. But there are other, more active ways to stay at your peak!  Take the stairs instead of the elevator (single leg power development), walk to the corner store instead of driving (cardiovascular) and instead of sitting down, stand on one leg when you put your shoes and socks on (core and balance).  Start paying attention to your daily activities – what else can you do to make sure you’re “training” all day?  Note: this does not replace the recommended 60mins a day of exercise – it compliments it. ....................
