Health and Fitness: Running on Empty
Whether you're riding your bicycle or working out, make sure you're not running on empty. Have a small snack before you hit the weights or the pavement! You cannot expect your body to perform when you have not given it some fuel. There is no point in doing a workout on an empty stomach. You will not be able to push yourself to get the results you want if you don’t start with some fuel in the tank. Eat a light snack, and give your body 30 minutes or so to absorb it. A good snacks combines carbohydrate and protein, such as fruit and cheese, or a piece of toast with peanut butter. ....................
