Health and Fitness: The Untapped “Exercise”
How many hours of sleep do you get every night? It’s funny, because at some point in time it became a badge of honor to be getting through the week with only 3-4hrs of sleep a night and this attitude has truly started to take its toll on all of us. Most people think that our greatest health and fitness improvements come during the workout – in fact, the improvement comes when the body is recovering from the stress. Not getting enough sleep leads to a prolonged state of stress and holds off on the recovery – which creates a vicious circle. So work hard, definitely – but make sure that you’re allowing yourself enough time to recover from that work. ....................
