ALL OF THE MATERIALS USED IN OUR PRODUCTS HAVE AN IMPACT ON OUR PLANET, AND WE BELIEVE THAT THEY CAN REDUCE THEIR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT SIGNIFICANTLY.
All of the materials used to make our products have an impact on our planet, and we believe that maximizing the use of recycled and non-toxic materials in our products can reduce their environmental impact significantly.
60% to 100% of the materials used in nearly all of our products are produced from recycled plastic. These materials include fabric, mesh, buckles, webbing, and zippers. Manufacturing polyester fiber from recycled materials results in 75% less energy use and 70% less C02 emissions than producing polyester from virgin materials.
How our products are manufactured is also important to us, and OnSight frequently audits factories that make both our materials and finished products.

PET
Most plastic disposable water bottles are made from polyethylene terephthalate ( PET ). This plastic resin is highly recyclable and is a form of polyester. Products made from recycled polyester materials require 75% less energy and create 70% less C02 emissions than polyester made from virgin materials. Many of OnSight’s products such as our organiser collection are made from 100% recycled water bottles.
EPO
We use COTEC EPO tarpaulin fabric on our durable backpacks and duffle bag products.
EPO is a non toxic environmentally friendly alternative to PVC coatings. EPO can be recycled in-process, post industrial, or post consumer. Water and carbon dioxide are the primary by products of this fabric, therefore it can be incinerated cleanly. For decades, PVC has been the primary material used for fabrics in bags and luggage. Using EPOeliminates the detrimental effects this chemical has on the environment.
No dioxins, heavy metals, chlorine, or phthalates are created during EPO production, and it meets current European regulations.
