The Once; Meeting The Needs of A Committed Cyclist

The Brodie Once is a commuter bicycle that stands out from other similar products, in fact very few exist.  This "Express" class bicycle has exceptional features and a unique design.  As a full-time commuter I would advise fellow cyclists to beware of other brands who try to imitate what Brodie has done with their 2011 new release.  The bike has high end components and the ride is firm, fast and comfortable.  This is my third Brodie, all purchased at Marty's Mountain Cycles in Esquimalt,  a local Brodie dealer.  I commute 20km round-trip on the Galloping Goose trail every day rain or shine.  I have equipped the bike to meet the demands of a committed cyclist.  The new Shimano Alfine 11-speed hub is awesome, however you must be patient and allow for proper break-in and stretching of cables. Once you have an understanding of how to adjust the hub, the shifting is smooth and slick.  I love the features, including the wide span handle bars, the hydraulic disc brakes and the geometry and design of the frame.  I am loyal to Brodie.
